It is important for you to continue good oral health habits even if you are traveling. Here are some tips to ensure that your smile stays healthy, and your breath stays fresh, even if you are required to travel for a few hours.
Bring travel-sized dental hygiene items
Regular-sized toothbrush and a big tube of toothpaste can be too bulky for trips. Choose a travel toothbrush and a smaller tube of toothpaste which can fit in your purse or small bag.
Don’t forget to bring dental floss
Wherever you are, you still need to use dental floss to clean between the teeth and the gum line.
Go for a small bottle of mouthwash
A small bottle of mouthwash will be handy especially in situations (like when you go for a road trip!) when you may not have the time or the space to properly brush your teeth.
Drink water
Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Avoiding a dry mouth problem can also prevent bad breath.
Avoid unhealthy snacks
Stay away from drinks with too much sugar or acidity such as soda. Chips and candies should also be avoided as much as possible; try munching on seeds (pumpkin) and nuts instead.
